Gabriel Salmi, Daniel Månsson and David Simonsson worked during the summer of 2008 to bring forward the prototype of the game “Brothers”. The game has now received 700 000´ from Nordic Game Fund.

The game, a fantasy-inspired story about two brothers on the hunt for medicine for their sick father, is one of four Swedish titles which will now receive Nordic starting contribution.

This financing will enable the start of the production. Our aim is to create a real game design and one to two performable paths, says Mathias Gullbrandson from The Story Lab – developers of the game “Brothers” together with Josef Fares.

The two worked together on Fares´ breakthrough film “Jalla Jalla” and hope to get the same penetration into the Games Industry as the film had in Film Sweden.
Fares productions have been hugely successful despite their unorthodox approach to the market. In all likelihood, the Games Industry will react in the same way . Working in an untraditional way with this form of contribution is important, says Mathias Gullbrandson.

The proposed game is aimed at release on the Xbox 360 and Play station 3 platforms. Either for downloading or traditionally in boxed product.
