Game Concept is a seven week course where the students are divided into groups and develop a design and playable game concept. After the course the different groups compete in Game Concept Challenge where they present their game infront of a jury with people from the game industry. This year there was members in the jury from Microsoft, Sony, Paradox Interactive, Grin, Avalanche and Team17.

The winner this year was Accelerando! Accelerando is a fast-paced, 3rd person platformer where the music beat is law. Time your jumps to build up combos because the better you perform, the more intense the music gets.

The game world is played upon a cylinder where gravity always points “down”, and there are no forbidden zones where you are not allowed to go; thus you are free to explore the entire world without restiction.

The jurys motivation was “The Winner Is Accelerando for a charming, unique and innovative game concept with pure mechanics, exciting online feature set and commersial possibilities, all presented in a confident and professional manner.”

The Accelerando Team;

Nassima Kesraoui
Sarah Kimblad
